WHEREAS, these issues often require multiple jurisdictions to reach agreements and coordinate activities in order to render meaningful public service to their respective constituents; and
WHEREAS, within the past year, County of Marin, and key Marin County employees and elected officials, including those from the Community Development Agency, and its Environmental Health Services Division, Department of Public Works, Office of County Counsel and the Board of Supervisors, have, upon numerous occasions, lent assistance to Bolinas Community Public Utility District in furtherance of the public interest, with such assistance including night-time travel to meetings, formation of joint committees, applications for grant funding, sponsorship of legislation and direct financial aid for community projects; now
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Bolinas Community Public Utility District to publicly recognize hereby the substantial commitment of time and resources made both by County of Marin and individual county government officials to projects benefiting the Bolinas community, including, but not limited to the Bolinas Community Land Trust’s affordable housing project, the Downtown Parking Committee’s study of motor vehicle congestion, the Bolinas Beach environmental enhancement initiative, the proposed revision of Onsite Wastewater Disposal regulations, the Housing Committee’s work to preserve residential living space, and the proposed project to provide a safer route to school for pedestrians and bicyclists.
IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that this resolution was duly introduced and adopted by the Board of Directors of the Bolinas Community Public Utility District this 30th day of May, 2001, by the following vote:
