Resolution No. 532

Declares An Emergency Exists and Authorizes Repairs To Stairs and Railing on the BCPUD Easement between Terrace and Brighton Avenues.

    WHEREAS the existing staircase and railing constructed on the BCPUD easement between Terrace and Brighton Avenues is in a significant state of deterioration and disrepair; and

    WHEREAS the public regularly uses said stairs and railing when walking or jogging between Terrace and Brighton Avenues; and

WHEREAS any further deterioration or disrepair of said stairs and railing could pose an imminent threat to public health and safety; and

    WHEREAS such further deterioration and disrepair is judged to be imminent by District personnel; now, therefore

    BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Bolinas Community Public Utility District as follows:

    To declare that an emergency condition exists and that failure to immediately repair the stairs and railing between Terrace and Brighton Avenues could pose an imminent threat to public health and safety; and

    To authorize solicitation of informal bids from two or more qualified contractors, and to move as quickly as is practicable to complete repairs of the stairs and railing.
    
    IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that this resolution was duly introduced and adopted by the Board of Directors of the Bolinas Community Public Utility District this 21st day of June, 2006, by the following vote:
