Resolution No. 535

Requiring that BCPUD Responses to Grand Jury Reports be Placed on the Public Meeting Agendas of the BCPUD Board of Directors.

    WHEREAS, on May 26, 2006, the Marin County Grand Jury issued a report in which it recommended, among other things, that all Marin governing bodies adopt procedures requiring responses to Grand Jury reports to be placed on their public meeting agendas in compliance with California Penal Code Section 933 and the Ralph M. Brown Act in order to provide opportunity for public discussion;
    WHEREAS the Grand Jury further recommended that these governing bodies place Grand Jury response on their public agendas rather than their consent calendars; and
    WHEREAS the Bolinas Community Public Utility District, a political subdivision of the State of California desires to comply with the foregoing recommendations of the Marin County Grand Jury;
    NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Bolinas Community Public Utility District that all responses pertaining to and by this district to Marin County Grand Jury reports shall be placed on the public agenda of the duly noticed meetings of the Board of Directors in compliance with California Penal Code Section 933 and the Ralph M. Brown Act in order to provide opportunity for public discussion.
