Resolution No. 574

Approving the Appointment of Director Kimball as the Bolinas Community Public Utility District’s ACWA/JPIA Director Representative.

    WHERAS, the Bolinas Community Public Utility District (“BCPUD”) is a Member of the Association of California Water Agencies Joint Powers Insurance Authority (“ACWA/JPIA”);

    WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the ACWA/JPIA is composed of one representative from from each Member of the Authority, who is a member of the governing board thereof selected by the governing board of that Member;

    WHEREAS, each Member of the ACWA/JPIA also appoints an alternative representative, who is an officer, member of the governing board or employee of that Member.

    WHEREAS, director Jack McClellan has served for many years with distinction as the BCPUD’s director-representative to the ACWA/JPIA;

    WHEREAS, the BCPUD’s General Manager serves as the BCPUD’s alternative representative to the ACWA/JPIA;

    WHEREAS, for personal reasons director McClellan has requested that one of his fellow BCPUD directors be appointed to succeed him as the BCPUD’s director representative to the ACWA/JPIA; and

    WHEREAS, director Bobbi Kimball has affirmed her willingness to so serve.

    NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that director Bobbi Kimball is hereby appointed by the Board of Directors of the Bolinas Community Public Utility District to serve as the district’s director representative to the Board of Directors of the ACWA/JPIA.

this 21st day of  January, 2009.
