Downtown Bolinas Permit Parking Program
On January 14, 2025, the Marin County Board of Supervisors (BOS) approved the Department of Public Works (DPW) request to adopt a resolution establishing specific road segments and hours where and when the Downtown Bolinas parking restrictions would apply. Bolinas parking ordinances were introduced by DPW to the BOS at an October 15, 2024 meeting and adopted on October 29, 2024. The ordinances establish a 22’ vehicle length restriction and overnight parking permit program in downtown Bolinas.
The map below shows the area covered by the resolution. The blue line indicates a 22-foot length parking restriction; the orange line indicates permit parking only between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.; the red lines indicate no-parking zones; and the green lines indicate time-limited parking areas.
The Bolinas Community Public Utility District issues permits to residents of the downtown parking restricted areas in conjunction with the Marin County Sheriff’s Office, who enforces the permits. As of May 1, 2025, permits were issued to eligible residents. Permits are valid for two years and must be renewed via the BCPUD at the end of the two-year period.
Please contact the BCPUD office at 415-868-1224, or by email at bcpud@bcpud.org, for information regarding eligibility or if you are a current permit holder and you need to replace your permit.
